Brilliant Day Out

We went during the festive period and the Grinch experience was fantastic - visited on a week day and there was no queues or busy crowds l, we were able to make our way around in our own time. Food and drinks were expensive but nothing more than you would expect at a theme park.

Characters walking around and lots of photo opportunities with Poppy, The Grinch, Max the Dog, The Simpsons characters and Frankenstein.

The studio tour was really interesting and plenty of things happening during to keep kids entertained.

A different experience from 15 years ago

The rides are mostly indoors since Jurassic Park was closed. I didn’t mind it but my girls prefer to have the rides outdoors. Nevertheless we still enjoyed our time at U Studio

Parking was easy to find for $30

Regret not buying the fast pass at universal. Line ups were long during the holiday season with kids out of school.

What an amazing day! I took my 16 year old teenage daughter, and we only really had about 5 hours. Couldn’t afford the express tickets, so focussed on the 3 things we really wanted to do (1). Harry Potter world. The forbidden journey ride is an absolute must, if we had more time, we would have done it twice! 2). The Jurassic Park ride - this was ok. (3) the one hour Universal studios tour. This too is a must see. We did stop for lunch so I could have some clam chowder, which was good, but this is not a place for a health fanatic! Customer service and experience is bloody awesome.

Line Cutters Cause Longer Waits

It's a great park - the back lot tram ride is a great hour long experience ( with at least an hour wait!). Here's the problem - and I noticed it on the tram tour and the Mummy coaster. Universal is not watching the lines and I witnessed several people cutting the line at the tram and Mummy rides as I was waiting in 90 minute lines! People were just jumping the chains when they thought no one was looking. I tried to say something to a group of teens but they just breezed right by me. Universal should address this issue and show respect for people's money and time when at their park. The express tickets are really really expensive.
